In the heart of the Galilee Mountains of Israel, above endless rows of pomegranate orchard, lies a worldwide unique winery – “Rimon Winery”.
It all started when Gabi and Avi Nachmias, father and son, third generation to a family of farmers who founded Moshav Kerem Ben Zimra, read an article about the healing attributes of the pomegranate fruit which compelled them to try and develop a unique variety of the pomegranate fruit.
Three years later after planting this new variety a crimson colored fruit with a high concentrate of vitamins was produced.
Laboratory tests found that it was suitable for production of unique quality wine. In 2003 The Nachmias family, known for their adventurous nature, decided to produce approx.
2,000 bottles of dessert wine, which was greatly appreciated by everyone who tasted it.
Following their enormous success they decided in 2004 to establish a commercial production line, which has been very successful in Israel and all over the world.
